Director Of Facilities And Contracts
CurrentManage all contracted service for DBASDPlans, schedule,budget and assigns employees to various cleaning, maintenance, repair, ice andsnow removal, renovation and building safety tasks;Prepares the annual operating budget and monitors revenues and expenditures;Plans, coordinates and conducts periodic inspections of all facilities required by local, stateor federal law such as fire inspections, asbestos inspections, insurance safety inspectionsand annual visual inspections of all school facilities as required by State EducationCommissioner’s Regulations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards;Makes determinations about scope of maintenance and/or repair activities and decides whichcan be accomplished by in-house maintenance staff and which are to be contracted out;Monitors all phases of capital construction projects; acts as liaison between the schooldistrict and all contractors, or construction managers engaged in providing services to schooldistrict properties. Including Custodial, Grounds, Food Services, Transportation and Security. Responds to inquiries from district’s employees, department heads and the public regardingschool district buildings and grounds activities;Inspects work performed by custodial or maintenance employees or private contractors toinsure proper cleaning, maintenance, repair and grounds keeping procedures are beingfollowed, checks for safety and health hazards, and makes recommendations for correctionand improvements.Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day transportation operations and directing major projects. Establish transportation compliance of all programs with state and federal regulations, including those imposed by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Ensure the development, testing and implementation of appropriate security plans, products and control techniques.Maintain security plans and best practices for all system facilities including physical security.
