I worked with a team at ELM to become more accountable to people of diverse sexualities and genders, while moving towards an anti-oppression approach to the work we do.

I was ordained in December 2008 by First United Lutheran Church to work with the Welcome Ministry. My work at First United included planning and leading Children's Ministry, coordinating with seminary students, teaching adult education classes, and occasional worship and preaching leadership.

I was ordained in December 2008 as an Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries pastor to serve Welcome through First United Lutheran Church. I worked with people seeking community in a historically queer neighborhood with poverty, homelessness, and oppression experiences. I helped people to set and meet their own goals- these goals often include getting IDs and using them to access services, employment, and housing. I taught independent living skills and self-advocacy to individuals and groups, and helped community to form around shared experiences and political goals. As a pastor, I was also available for pastoral care and interfaith worship.
