Breaking down Lyft payments monolith to microservices. Member of the Payment Gateway team which abstracted out all payment provider interactions to Lyft. The gateway interacted with multiple payment providers like Stripe, Braintree, First Data, and Payfare and routed payments among them using a rule based smart routing engine. Was responsible for Lyft Direct, a Lyft branded debit card which paid out drivers immediately after each ride.

As the backend engineer, worked on various scale problems to handle the increase in customer base. Since it was a small startup team wore multiple hats, serving as DevOps and Scrum Master.Team lead for Payment Center, leading a team of four engineers building the next generation self-service portal for Intuit Merchants. With emphasis on reducing risk and reducing call volume, implemented an innovative algorithm to detect credit card fraud without impacting the customer experience.Implemented Rich Paylinks for the Intuit Payment Network which allows merchants to create a pay link with a unique token. Customers of the merchant could follow the paylink and make payments. This was implemented on Grails as a REST API.Refactored the Credit Card and ACH processing layer of Intuit Payment Network so that it confirms to a generic Payment API and could be reused by other Intuit offerings.Was the Scrum master for a high performing agile team conducting daily standups, story grooming, pre-planning and planning sessions.
