Roles and Responsibilities: Mechanical Design• Confirm all measurements and information in the offered 2D designs is correct.• Created 3D casting patterns for supplied component drawings using Solid Works• Designed casting patterns for valve bodies and bonnets, specifically for gate, ball, globe, and butterfly valves• Developed 3D patterns and cores based on 2D casting component drawings• Extracted core Moulds from 3D core design and created 2D drafts for patterns, cores & core Mould• Used the designed 3D pattern for creating forging die tool design such as flange, union, valve body, gear blank• Used the designed 3D pattern and extracted the forging Mold for die tool design• Created 2D drafting of the 3D model created• Reviewed 2D drafts with project lead and incorporated feedback for further enhancements• Shared 2D drafting and 3D modeling with leadership team after design modifications

Roles and Responsibilities: CNC• Ensure that the correct material (type & quantity) is issued as per plan and is free from defects.• Ensure the layout work from blueprints, work orders, and other specifications are precise and planned job setup.• Set up the cutters by following program information/tool set-up documents and ensure cutters are of the correct type, length, diameter, radius, and are in good working condition.• Verify the cutting tools are as per program/CNC documents and make fine adjustments to the machine to bring the part within tolerance.• Assist operators in aligning machine accessories, tools and shop aides, using dial indicators, measuring instruments, wrenches, bolts, clamps and observe the machine’s speed.• Monitor the machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings, and visually check cutter path, clearance, chips to ensure smooth operation.• Supervise work during each operation and/or after completed job to ensure parts are complete per drawing/plan and that there are no defects like tool marks, mismatch, and incorrect cutter finish.
