I have a distinguished academic record throughout my career. I completed my Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate from Jadavpur University and was a Gold Medalist in Economics both at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.I have 24 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, I am working as Professor in Economics at Shiv Nadar University Chennai. Earlier I served as Professor and Head at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi. I also served as Visiting Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University where I taught courses on Balance of Payments and Monetary Theory of International Trade. I have completed more than 19 funded research projects / consultancy assignments sponsored by reputed organisations in India and abroad, like, Walmart, International Finance Corporation (IFC) under World Bank, DFID-UK, PWC, Reserve Bank of India, Different Ministries of the Government of India (namely, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, DPIIT, Department of Ayush, etc.), Spices Board, Indian Embassy in Iran, etc. I have conducted training programmes in India and abroad on various Macroeconomic and Energy-related issues to Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Statistical Service (ISS), and Indian Trade Service (ITS) Officers, Armed Forces (all three services), GAIL Executives from the level of Senior Manager to DGM, Power-Grid Officers, Commercial Team of Coromandel Fertilizers Limited, Capacity Building in International Business for Government Officers at Luanda, Angola and Maputo, Mozambique, etc.I have several research publications in reputed Scopus/ABDC indexed Journals. Some of my research papers are published in reputed peer-reviewed international journals namely, Journal of Policy Modelling (Elsevier Journal), Journal of Asian Economics (Elsevier Journal), Management Research Review (Emerald Journal), South Asian Journal of Macroeconomics and Public Finance (Sage Journal), Review of Market Integration (Sage Journal), Journal of World Trade (Kluwer Law Journal), Journal of World Investment and Trade, etc. My articles on Macroeconomics and trade related issues have been published in newspapers like Mint, Hindu Business Line, etc. I am the Associate Editor of Foreign Trade Review, Quarterly Journal of IIFT, ranked as B-Category under ABDC and Scopus Q2 and published by Sage since 2012.My teaching and research interest include Macroeconomic Policy, International Macroeconomics, International Finance, Applied Time-Series Econometrics, etc.
