I'm a realist and not an idealist. I am a former CPA with a good mix of being a concrete sequential thinker and a creative problem solver. I'm an entrepreneur that believes in The American Dream and that success is earned; not an entitlement. I had my first job at 10 years old and started my first business at 28 years of age with $1,200, a credit card, and a dream. Between 1999 and 2022, I founded, acquired and divested a number of media properties with my last business growing to $12,000,000+ in annual revenues with almost 50 staff. Along the way, I performed every job within the company and learned through trial and error. It was a rich - and sometimes painful - journey, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.Ultimately, through my entrepreneurial journey, I've learned a great deal, and as a result, I consider myself very strong in operations (franchise theory, in particular), brand and product creation, and finance. I'm proud of the teams we built and the impact the companies I've owned have made in the lives of staff members, their families, and in the industries they served. I love the game of business and enjoy talking shop. I'm always interested in helping small business owners and welcome the opportunity to help those that want to achieve The American Dream through hard work and dedication.I dabble in real estate, angel investing, and am a student of the stock market. I am a devout follower of Warren Buffett and the late Charlie Munger, and prescribe to their value-investing philosophy.
