WegoWise is a startup that helps property managers, municipalities, and affordable housing developers track and benchmark utility data to maximize environmental sustainability in their buildings. I provided analytical, quality assurance, and additional spreadsheet support to clients looking to implement the company's software. I also presented recommendations to the client management team to improve engagement during monthly webinars.

I initiated a project with a small group to implement a rooftop farm on campus that promotes local, sustainable agriculture and provides food for the Brandeis community. As Co-Founder of the farm, my role involved creating a budget and applying for a $30,000 grant, meeting and strategizing with campus administration, consulting with local farm experts, and founding a student organization to ensure long-term maintenance. I served as the club's inaugural president until I graduated in December of 2016.

I worked as a research assistant at the Schuster Institute, an investigative reporting center focused on social justice and human rights, assisting Maryn McKenna, an award-winning journalist and Senior Fellow at the Institute who specializes in public health, global health, and food policy issues. I used databases such as LexisNexis, Factiva, and Academic Search Premier to cultivate historical newspaper articles, scientific studies, and white papers.My research contributed to two of Maryn's New York Times Magazine articles (linked below) and to her book Big Chicken. I am credited in the acknowledgements of the book.

Living on Earth is a public radio show that covers environmental issues and distributes its weekly program to more than 250 U.S. stations. As an intern, I produced pieces for the show, which included finding and reaching out to potential show guests, writing interview questions and introductions, and editing audio using Pro Tools software. I also worked on the LOE website, picking and placing photos, writing captions, and placing text and audio on the site.Attached are two pieces I wrote, researched, and voiced for the show.

Sustainable Energy Advantage is a renewable energy consulting firm. As an intern, I researched and wrote articles about legislation, regulation, and policy related to renewable energy for a subscription service the company publishes. I also created content for the Northeast Wind Resource Center, a Department of Energy project, designed to provide objective resources for stakeholders and policy makers regarding wind markets. In addition, I provided research and analysis for renewable energy project siting and markets as needed.

The New England Wildlife Center is a wildlife rehabilitation center, hospital, and education center. My role involved providing hands-on care to orphaned, injured, and sick animals, including raccoons, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and opossums. I fed the animals, administered medicine and fluids, and I worked alongside veterinarians to assist with surgeries, biopsies, necropsies, and x-rays. In addition, I answered questions about the animals for Center visitors. Later that year, I presented my experience at the 31st Semi-Annual Environmental Internship Symposium at Brandeis.

The Newtonite is Newton North High School's award-winning student-run newspaper. As editor in chief, I directed and assisted a team of 20 editors regarding ideas and content. I also led the publication as it transitioned to an interactive daily online platform. At the end of my senior year, I presented this transition as a session leader at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's 89th Annual Spring Convention at Columbia University in New York.
