It combined the concept of ham radio, with the modern anonymous mobile chat concept to give users an ability to target particular location to find like-minded individuals from that area. It was built with safety concerns to keep users anonymous and not track, reveal, or let users target location beyond city/town granularity.Ragchews was based on centuries old proven concept of the Ham radios, just a whole lot easier and with much wider coverage. Instead of tuning a radio frequency and hoping to find someone to chat with, Ragchews modernized the concept and allowed user to choose and target a specific city/town anywhere in the world and discover like-minded people from that area based on their interests. -

I was promoted throughout my stay at Yahoo and left as a VP that managed large teams (~500) across advertising and data platforms. During my career I was tasked to lead multiple mission critical initiatives and systems, starting with the very first self-serve sponsored search advertising systems, self-serve sponsored listings systems for Yahoo Travel, and Shopping. I co-led the effort (code named Panama) of integrating, replacing, and overhauling Overture (company aquired by Yahoo) sponsored search system to integrate with Yahoo. Subsequently – I led the entire co-ordination and integration effort to replace Yahoo’s display advertising systems while also integrating with Rightmedia’s (company aquired by Yahoo) performance advertising system.
