CurrentJay Gatling's professional career began in 2008 when he was given the opportunity to perform in a traditional seaside variety show; he performed in the show for six years, each year being brought back by popular demand and since then his act has graced the stage of many more variety shows across the country and throughout multiple theatres and holiday parks across the North Wales coast. He has performed for large outdoor events and festivals with his street show, and has shared his close-up magic with audiences young and old at weddings, private functions and corporate events. Some of those corporate clients include companies such as Asda, Iceland, Honda, Warner Leisure Hotels and ITV. He is also the proud recipient of multiple awards from within the magic and wedding industries. These include the prestigious Dittia Shield for Manipulation and the Theo Speaker Cup for Stage Magic; awarded to him by the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He is particularly proud of the Best Non-Musical Wedding Entertainment/Act by the Welsh National Wedding Awards. This was awarded to him due to votes from previous brides and grooms whom he had the privilege of performing for at their weddings.
