Dedicated English and French instructor, creative writer, and academic writer with eight years of experience working in academia.I am currently finishing my PhD in Literature with a focus in modern British literature. I am ABD (All But Dissertation) and going to graduate in May of 2025. My tentative dissertation title is "Breaking Binaries: Gender, Sexuality and Genre in the Autofiction of Douglas Stuart, Ali Smith, and Jeanette Winterson."I have also presented at two academic conferences thus far:"Douglas Stuart and the (Auto)Remixing of Narrative and Truth," Southwest Popular/American Culture Association Conference, February 2024"A Queer Room of One's Own," London Centre for Interdisciplinary Research Gender and Intersectionality Conference, July 2021I am in the progress of preparing my article, "A Queer Room of One's Own," so that I will be able to submit it to an academic journal. I also am in the process of submitting my short story, "vampire grrl," for publication as well.Lastly, I am looking for employment starting in January of 2025. I would prefer to continue teaching in higher education, but I am also open to other opportunities outside of academia, especially creative related jobs that include tasks such as editing, proofreading, academic writing, creative writing, and French to English translation.
