Hi, my name is Jaylen Jones and I’m a computer science Ph.D. student currently attending The Ohio State University. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in computer science from Northern Kentucky University where I gained years of undergraduate research experience through the L.I.F.E Fellowship program. My current research interests lie in the field of artificial intelligence, specifically using natural language processing and machine learning techniques to design conversational systems and natural language generation models. My recent work has focused on how to utilize large language models to automatically generate responses to hate speech contexts called counter narratives, how to use large language models as evaluators for the outputs of natural language generation systems, and how to design trustworthy language models that align with human interests and values.
