Promoted to this role from Operations Manager role - I now assist in supervising the team of Operations Managers.

As Operations Manager, I am responsible for all of the retail operations in the store. This includes things like:• Writing detailed incident reports (e.g., customer accidents, theft, disruption) that meet the standards to be used in a court of law.• Training and managing employees, and supervising a team of leads (I'm the only Ops manager with direct reports). Conducting performance reviews, mentoring employees, and providing guidance and development.• Writing and editing training documents and quizzes for staff and managers on topics such as advanced cashiering procedures.

When our stores closed due to Covid-19, I pivoted to work as a fulfillment manager in the Powell's warehouse. I ensured that staff were supported in their roles and that the team followed safety protocols.

I purchased interesting used books to sell at Powell's. My product turn rate (the rate at which books that I'd purchased sold in the store) was among the highest in the department.

I briefly started off as a temporary Cashier, and then became a Cashier Lead.
