Managed day to day operation of a non profit child care center caring for approximately 60 children from infancy to Kindergarten. Area of accountability included enrollment and public relations, staff relations, parent relations, community relations and general building maintenance.Created a committee of both parents and teachers to develop a new communication system between teacher and parent. The system is still used toady and emulated by many other day care centersEncouraged and supervised parent meetings as one component of parent education. Parents looked forward to learning, sharing and networking.Researched and provided a forum for teachers to discuss any child care issues or problems among each other in a group setting with a psychologist throughout the year. Teachers have become more confident and effective when dealing with families and each other.
