Jayne is a highly accomplished educator with an innate understanding of the interconnectedness of teaching, learning and wellbeing. Bringing a wealth of curriculum knowledge and coaching experience, She is a dynamic, experienced, passionate and skilful educator who has worked in the field for over 25 years, most recently at a senior leadership level. As Head of Middle School Jayne leads with integrity, professional loyalty and trust. She creates environments in which staff are able to explore ideas, offering opportunities for teams to experience fulfilment and success. Jayne consistently demonstrates compassion and empathy ensuring everyone is heard while not being afraid to address concerns or challenges as they arise.Jayne believes in providing proactive and responsive pastoral care and works to create warm, nurturing, and people-centred educational experiences that are rooted in community and belonging. With an unwavering commitment to student voice and agency, she consistently strives to develop positive learning environments and promote authentic relationships.Jayne believes that schools are integral environments in which to promote skills for thriving and is dedicated to embedding a culture focused on placing equal priority on academic development and high levels of wellbeing, in turn, building self-esteem, resilience, confidence and connection among the students, staff and the community at large. Jayne's experience of working with students from P-12 affords her a genuine understanding of the challenges faced at each stage within the context of a student’s whole journey. She leverages her understanding to foster a challenging, innovative and collaborative culture to enable all stakeholders to work effectively to ensure successful outcomes for all.Demonstrating sustained commitment to personal growth and to building the capacity of others, Jayne is currently studying for a dual Masters in Educational Leadership and Management and Student Wellbeing at The University of Melbourne. She firmly believes in holistic education, consistently working to influence policy and practice away from deficit models using insights gained from research and from the lived experience of leading and engaging students, staff and parents towards substantive and inclusive programs.
