Jazlyn graduated from the University of Washington, and obtained her degree, Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Leadership. Throughout her majors targeted years, she learned skills and lessons such as: promoting health through social marketing, healthcare budgetary and analysis, financial decision making in healthcare, how to demonstrate critical interrogation of positionality, recognize implicit biases, acknowledge and apply anti-racism principles to promote health equity, health and illness in society, the business of healthcare, research in nursing and healthcare, critical analysis and writing, healthcare leadership strategies, health informatics fundamentals, health data analysis, healthcare accreditation and legal issues, and personnel management in healthcare. Jazlyn grasped an in-depth understanding of social determinants and how each of its domains affects the people of her community and the quality of care they receive. She also became knowledgeable of the healthcare environment that includes but is not limited to: synthesis to cost, access, quality challenges, and the ability to generate solutions to these challenges.Jazlyn is excited and eager to take on a role that allows her to put her knowledge to use, and gain more knowledge along the way.
