In the first part of the program, I assisted teachers from M. R. Hollis Innovation Academy with conducting various STEM activities with rising 6th grade students. These activities included learning math through music, coding, and architecture. In the second part, I assisted more teachers from M. R. Hollis Innovation Academy with helping a smaller group of rising 6th graders build/code a robot based on inspiration from the book The Wild Robot.

I was a part of the Biophysical Society Summer Research Program. I did research in the Department of Biology. The lab I worked in investigated the relationship between non-muscle myosin II depletion and cytoskeletal organization by looking at actin. I am a contributing author of an article titled “Crosslinkers both drive and brake cytoskeletal remodeling and furrowing in cytokinesis.”
