Jaz's recent work has included a maiden "docking" of the Arkhe at MAIA's Yard; curating group show GOD-POCKET at Eastside Projects; curating a billboard takeover in Newtown to pay homage to community; lending curatorial assistance and writing to melissandre varin's 'les ongles noirs' Incidental Artists' project; art writing for the likes of Power Plant Gallery Toronto, Laku Neg, Black Ballad, Foyer Magazine, Austrian Cultural Forum, and SLUICE; and writing short film 'EARTHSTRONG' with the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre. --A writer and artist-curator, Jaz has worked with The Grime Archive, Serendipity Institute of Black Arts and Heritage, MAIA & Yard Art House, Black Autistics, The Mamahood Space, Eastside Projects, Ikon Gallery & Youth Programme, Stryx Gallery, The New Art Gallery Walsall, University of Birmingham, BBC West Midlands, Asylum Art Gallery, Film Birmingham, Film Hub Midlands, and Bertz Associates over the past decade. Jaz is interested in projects that bring people together for the purpose of care, catharsis, understanding, and reimagining.
