Gained insight into the challenges of a large provider organization developing digital products, using SMART on FHIR and mobile applications to share information between their Oracle Cerner and Athena EHRs for providers and consumers to improve patient care and the consumer experience.

Exercised proficiency in the Health Information Technology field and in building industry networks to drive the team responsible for technical implementation, client consultation, and tier-one support of the company’s suite of FHIR APIs for diagnostic orders. Utilized prior success in implementation process improvement to support clinical data exchange with national networks, life insurance, social determinants of health, individual access, and provider notifications. - Successfully increased clients’ speed to value for lab network by optimizing internal workflows, expanding significantly from 8 to 30 go-lives per month. - Spearheaded a VPN migration project to satisfy AWS requirements and move 116 laboratory feeds to new virtual servers within the first six months of employment.- Audited all existing documentation to reduce redundancy, eliminate outdated materials, and initiate the migration to Confluence for increased visibility across the company.- Completed proof of concept of end-to-end project tracking through use of Salesforce for contracting, Asana for project management, and JIRA for technical task management.- Oversaw seven direct and four indirect reports while also growing the integration team and rapidly gaining even greater managerial responsibility as leader of the support team of one direct and four indirect reports.- Created and implemented job profile and role progression documents for the entire team.

Drove the product leadership side of the business and coordinated with business development to architect proof-of-concept products and manage relationships/roadmaps with white-label product suppliers. Built and maintained relationships with large companies such as laboratories, payers, and other population health companies. Progressed into work as an individual contributor to manage eight clients associated with Cerner’s domain extension program which generated revenue by sharing their EMR with other organizations/practices. Demonstrated a thorough understanding of client needs and championed their ideas in conjunction with the clinical product team, collaborating to perform internal evaluations which compared products and deployment strategies in effort to reduce client overhead costs and enhance end user experiences. Created and facilitated a client user group for like clients wishing to share lessons learned.- Tasked with recommending interoperability products and creating an alternate strategy rather than the domain extension model after client requests continued to be denied.- Played a pivotal role in the transition to a product-oriented organization and trained on SAFE product methodologies, later implementing principles into team structure with PMO guidance.- Oversaw nine direct reports, many of which were previously connected to the IP/Engineering organization, and managed products which collectively processed 1M+ diagnostic or clinical transactions per month and generated $125M in annual revenue.- Assisted in creating a new business vertical to supply the SSA with clinical data through use of Health Information exchange product and FHIR APIs.- Reorganized the team to focus on the eprescription product and migrate it to an AWS-hosted domain.- Provided strategic advisement to clients on improving patient care by building a clinically and financially integrated network and on how to best generate revenue through referrals and manage patient populations.

Developed and communicated product roadmaps for review by both clients and senior leaders. Efficiently documented client requirements for fixes or new features for the development team. Managed sales support and contract approval in addition to providing executive oversight to technical delivery teams as a point of escalation. Worked with a broad range of products including Clinical Hub, Provider Notifications, Provider Portal, Health Information Exchange, Data Exchange, CommonWell, Direct Messaging, Immunizations, Reference Lab Network, and Payer Connectivity.- Served as Cerner’s executive liaison to the CommonWell Health Alliance and worked on Carequality and CommonWell joint task force to link the two networks, efforts which marked a golden spike moment for all of Healthcare IT.- Engaged with DoD and VA and aptly deployed the Federal Joint HIE which covered active service members and veterans positioned worldwide.- Contributed to the exponential growth of data exchange between civilian providers and the US military by managing the team which connected Federal Joint HIE to CommonWell.
