I was a volunteer at the park district for roughly three years for a class called Afternoon Adventures. This was a summer class that was offered three days out of the week to children under the age of eleven. The class regularly catered to children with disabilities. We would take them on hikes, do arts and crafts with them, make them lunches, and take them swimming at the community pool.
