As Senior Manager for Strategic Alliances at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), I was responsible for the day-to-day operation and strategic direction of the Institute for Electric Innovation’s membership-based Technology Partner Roundtable. In this capacity, I recruited, vetted and sold memberships to our technology company members. In addition to being an important profit center for the organization, I was the key team member who best understood the technology companies’ products and services, business models and customer service regimes. I drove strategic corporate, operational/business and executive-level engagement between technology companies and EEI member electric utilities at the C-Suite level in furtherance of gird modernization, decarbonization, corporate innovation and customer service. I have worked with nearly every major U.S. IOU and leading municipal energy companies (like SMUD, Austin Energy, LADWP), and alongside leading DER, DERMS, DSM, VPP technology companies. In this role I learned a great deal about creating value-driven engagement opportunities and resilient partnerships.
