This thesis, named "Synthesis of new iminosugars and evaluation of their inhibitory activities of glycosidases", has been supervised by Doctor Sandrine PY.- During these 3 years, 2 projects have been conducted: * The first project consisted to study nucleophilic additions on nitrones. This one was a methodology work in order to predict the reactivity of various nucleophiles on nitrones and anticipate the behaviour of particular nitrones on second project. * The second project consisted to develop several multi-step synthesis to create new imunosugars (piperidine and indolizidine type). After the synthesis of 10 new molecules, their inhibitory activities of glycosidases have been evaluated. This work allowed me to get good knowledges in alkene metathesis field, in alkene oxidation and in the biochemistry field (enzyme...).- During my thesis I also developed others hard skills: * Communication skill (presented / defended a project, adapted its speech to the interlocutor) * Worked as a team (1 laboratory technician and trainees) * Analysed and characterised complex molecules (RMN, HPLC, IR-spectrometry)- Scientific production: * 2 oral communications (1 international):« Journée Scientifique du Médicament », Grenoble, 11-12 juin 2013« Journées de Chimie Organique », Palaiseau, 24-26 septembre 2013 * 2 posters: « Troisième Symposium Francophone de Synthèse Totale », Grenoble, 30-31 mai 2013 « Journée de printemps, SCF » Grenoble, 13 juin 2013 * manuscript of thesis and oral presentation to get my doctorate * 2 scientific papers
