As Operations Manager I am responsible for manufacturing production, maintenance, and facilities for the Springboro Operations. Ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and an exceptional product while driving out waste and improving effectiveness through lean methodology and cross functional collaboration.

As Operations Manager, reporting directly to the COO, I am responsible for operations across the eastern US serving customers from South Carolina to New Jersey to Chicago. I have implemented processes, policies, and procedures for customer service, materials management, and equipment utilization that have contributed to an 8% YOY increase in revenue. Additionally, through redistribution of duties across a team of 21 reports, we have managed to provide additional and more comprehensive service to our customers. This has been accomplished with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, operational excellence, financial performance, and an exceptional customer experience. Driving out waste and improving effectiveness through lean methodology and cross functional collaboration.

Responsible for Capital Equipment purchases, Contractor Services, Investment Recovery, and Corporate Services. Manage vendor performance including workmanship issues, warranties, performance guarantees, and dispute resolution. Develop, implement, and assure compliance with Capital procurement and Investment Recovery Policy and Procedures. Work collaboratively with all levels of senior corporate leaders, technical specialists, operations management, hourly workforce, regulatory agencies, vendors and stakeholders.

Supervised 14 hourly Union Electrical and Instrumentation craftsmen responsible for the care of the mill utilities department. Maintained all control systems, motors, and electrical distribution, for two coal-fired boilers (400kpph and 300kpph), one waste wood boiler (225kpph), one recovery boiler (440kpph), four turbine generators (86 megawatts total), one water softener and one water filter plant (25 million gallons/day), and the waste treatment facility. Ensured all environmental equipment is maintained to EPA permits. This include CEMS units monitoring SO2, NOX, TRS, CO, and O2; Opacity monitoring equipment; and Waste Water analyzers (pH, conductivity, DO, and flow). Developed, planed, implemented, and executed Preventive Maintenance work including annual major equipment outages. Interfaced with vendors and sales representatives to ensure their products were meeting business needs through Maintenance Repair and Operations category sponsorship, communication, and negotiation

Provided the production and the distribution of steam, power, and water to all areas of the facility. Directed 16 Union employees responsible for the operation of the entire Utilities Department including; power boilers, steam turbine/generators, electrical power distributions, water treatment, and waste water treatment. Ensured all equipment was operated to meet facility needs as well as EPA compliance, including; water, air, and land fill.
