About Jenny Martin

Masters degree in Historic Conservation studied at Oxford Brookes University and the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education. Masters degree dissertation was based on the analysis of whether architectural insertions into ruins could aid their conservation. Currently undertaking a level 4 qualification in Facilities Management. Experience of working with historic buildings through volunteering and work placements with the National Trust and Oxford City Council led to working with Hutton+Rostron. Currently undertaking heritage assessments, specialist building material condition and building performance investigations on many structures particularly Grade I listed buildings and those subject to refurbishment and conversion. Interests include researching and assessing historical features in listed buildings for their continued conservation. Has also organised Hutton+Rostron's attendance and displays at various exhibitions, managed ongoing work to improve the company's online presence, created advertisements for the company to be included in several printed publications and written professional articles in relation to Rothounds, rising damp and the effects of bird and bat guano on buildings published in the Listed Heritage magazine, on the RICS website and in the Building Conservation Directory.
