A year after the attack on the Twin Towers in New York City, George W. Bush created The Department of Homeland Security (Agency) focusing on terrorism. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) was immediately created under the Department of Homeland Security to solve a critical problem – the immediate need to staff teams of security personnel for all airports in the United States, and US Territories.
