I deal with a lot of retirees and pre-retirees and putting in place strategies to help them transition into retirement and live the life they want once they take the big step into retirement. I also work with some younger clients where the main focus is around insurance and protecting their families, and creating stepping stones for them to work towards their long-term financial goals.As part of this role I also head up the para-planning team and provide them with training and guidance to help provide the best advice and strategies to our clients, and also have a big focus on compliance and training.

In my year and a half of working in the Client Services division of the SMSF side of JBS Financial Strategists, I learned a lot about the day to day running of a Self-Managed Super Fund and what it took to set one up.But the most important thing about this role, wasn't all the applications I had to fill in, or the folders I had to prepare for the client meetings, but it was the experience I had talking and liaising with clients. Forming a relationship with clients is an integral part of working in a services based industry and this role taught me the importance of providing the best service to clients.It also helped me build my knowledge of Self-Managed Super Funds and has set me up with the knowledge to undertake my current role at JBS as a Paraplanner on the Self-Managed Super Fund side.
