I provide strategic communications support to several projects within Community Catalyst. Most notably the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation (the Center), the Dental Access Project and our work advocating for policy-oriented solutions to the high cost of health care. Generally, this falls under;Communications Planning Developing yearly communications plans with all projects that identifies audiences, measurable goals and strategies to ensure a successful year. Overseeing a large, yearly project involved in developing and lifting up individuals’ stories to illustrate how aspirational policy goals can be accomplished by everyday people. Working with programs to develop communications-oriented dissemination plans for new products (fact sheets, whitepapers, toolkits, etc…) that are developed in-house. Member of the organization’s Evaluation Team that assists programs in developing SMART/SMARTIE goals.Digital Media Oversight of the Center’s Twitter (@CCEHI) and involved in the development of social materials for relevant publications across all programs on multiple platforms. Providing analytics reports that measure the effectiveness of our digital outreach. Working with outside vendors on website development and maintenance.Marketing/Promotion/Writing Development of supplemental communications promotional materials to highlight new policy publications or related resources. This could include but is not limited to: Press releases/media advisories, press outreach/pitching, sample social for partner organizations and pp-ed development.Technical Assistance Providing communications counsel to state and community health advocacy groups across the country working on a diverse array of health equity and access issues. Conducting trainings to health advocates and communications on a wider array of issues including Media Training, Opposition Messaging, Message Development, Report Distribution and Communications Planning.
