Lifelong Tinkerer, Maker, and Fixer.Jim Bowes has reached levels of Mechanical Adept, Electrical Maestro, and Electronics Jack-of-All-Trades via his dogged pursuit of early interests, with skills honed over an array of hobbies, and ultimately through his career as a highly skilled technician.From his (very) early years of taking anything apart and being raised in a deep DIY lifestyle, he found a never-ending love of bicycles...riding, building, and repairing most every sort available.Driven by a ravenous interest in arcade games and pinball machines, he achieved two AAS degrees related to electronics theory and technology, broadening his field of knowledge to the realms of logic and the digital domain. Ever onward, his professional path led to creating sonar recording racks for the USN sub fleet, onto manufacture of satellites...as well as their launch to LEO, and beyond.At this point in time, Jim's career has touched most every level, class, and type of mechanical and electrical system.Most recently, Jim helped create LeoStella...and its groundbreaking smallsat constellation manufacturing facility...from the ground up, working with the design and engineering teams to make the company a leading player, and force to be reckoned with, in the "New Space" arena.
