I am assigned as the Centre Manager for Wilkie Edge building, a mixed development building comprising of retails, commercial offices and a residential service apartment. My responsibilities include:⦁ Working together with a Facilities Executive to arrange for and manage hard services and soft services maintenance works, including arranging for ad-hoc repair works and management of Maintenance Term Contracts.⦁ Regular monitoring of building state and operations to ensure it runs at optimal condition, meet health and safety regulations and compliant to authority requirements⦁ Attend to any emergencies relating to the building (e.g. fire alarm trigger, unexpected power trip)⦁ Report to landlord representatives and advise them on any matters relating to the buildingDue to my experience in M&E services, I am able to view the operations of the building from a more technical perspective and thus able to advise landlord and tenants on building services works to reduce operation expenses and also reduce complexity of services interface between landlord and tenant areas

Assigned to assist the team handling the construction and installation of electro-chlorination system (ECS) at PUB’s Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (a water treatment plant). The project went through plant proving phase and is now in a 4-month maintenance operation period. My duties include:⦁ Monitoring scada system which controls the ECS and promptly address any issues that arise by directing on-site staff to rectify the issue⦁ Pro-actively check for potential issues in the scada readings and address them before they arise⦁ Preparing daily report for the ECS operations⦁ Any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Main duties include:1. Coordinating works between various contractors from different trades2. Managing and overseeing M&E services installation on site3. Attending technical and progress meetings to discuss and update project related matters i.e. design of M&E services, interaction with structural and architectural elements, compliance with local authority requirements and standards, etc.4. Liaising with clients, consultants, local authorities and internal management team for any project related concerns5. Planning work schedules and manpower to fit project datelines6. Scrutinizing M&E designs and installations to ensure workability, compliance to requirement and quality control8. Attend to any M&E related problems on site i.e. temporary water and power supply, lift usageOther duties include overseeing the safety and health concerns of workers as well as reviewing and approving work permits.

• Designing various mechanical services installation for commercial and residential buildings:a) ACMV – Sizing cooling capacities required for proposed buildings, designing and planning the layout of the ACMV installations which mainly involve ducted systems.b) Piped Services – Designing and planning the layout of cold water pipes and sanitary plumbing installationsc) Fire Protection System – Designing and planning the layout of exposed and concealed automated fire sprinkler system, fire extinguisher and hosereel locations and addressable fire alarm system• Ensuring that all mechanical services installation designed comply with the local Code of Practices• Involved in designing, preparing and successfully completing M&E tender drawings for:a) Fit-out works for 2 levels of office buildingb) Addition & alterations work for a major shopping centre• Preparing the necessary drawings for minor addition and alteration works submission to local authorities and carrying out the submission works• Scrutinizing tender returns and preparing M&E tender report for client’s use• Liaising with suppliers to obtain necessary technical data (e.g. air-conditioners, ventilation fans, etc.)• Liaising with other consultants (i.e. interior designers, architects) and contractors to ensure all projects are carried out according to the needs and specifications of the client• Other duties as assigned by the Project Director

Responsibilities included:• Preparing tender documents for projects and evaluating tenders submitted by bidding contractors• Preparation of Material Take-Off lists• Compiling an in-house commercial database for price rates used in construction projects• Scrutinizing and responding to Variation Orders for M&E works submitted by contractors• Assisting the M&E Engineer in designing various aspects of M&E works in construction projects (ACMV, Cold Water System, Sanitary Plumbing, etc.)
