Electric Mobility Canada (EMC) is a national membership-based not-for-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the advancement of e-mobility as an exciting and promising opportunity to fight climate change and stimulate and support the Canadian economy. Our mission is to strategically accelerate the transition to electric mobility across Canada.I am responsible for leading EMC's efforts in provincial government relations and providing political issues management and media spokesperson support with special attention to the Province of Ontario, and informed by EMC’s national advocacy priorities.__________________________________________________________Mobilité électrique Canada (MEC) est une association nationale à but non lucratif constituée de membres et vouée exclusivement à la promotion de l’électromobilité comme moyen novateur et efficace de combattre les changements climatiques et de stimuler l’économie canadienne. Notre mission est d'accélérer stratégiquement la transition vers la mobilité électrique partout au Canada.Je suis chargé de diriger les efforts de MEC en matière de relations avec les gouvernements provinciaux et de fournir une attention particulière à la province de l'Ontario en matière de gestion des questions politiques et de soutien aux porte-parole des médias, en s'appuyant sur les priorités nationales de plaidoyer de MEC.

As part of the Senior Management Team (SMT), I contributed to strategic planning and championed the implementation of new initiatives, and identified opportunities for efficiencies in the College’s operations. As the Director, I was responsible for building and maintaining productive stakeholder engagement, ensuring the public affairs and communication needs of the College were met, and representing the College publicly in a manner that reflected the Values, Mandate, and Vision of the College. Providing staff guidance in the provision of communications and public affairs services including licensee/applicant relations and engagement, public relations and outreach, regulatory and government relations, organizations/associations relations, media relations, brand management, internal communications, translation, and language adaptation.On November 23, 2021, the ICCRC was continued as the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants under the College Act.

CFA Societies Canada is a collaboration of CFA Institute and the 12 Canadian CFA Societies, whose mission is to build brand awareness of the CFA designation and to advocate for the highest standards of integrity and ethics for the ultimate benefit of Canadian investors.As the Managing Director, I provided strategic leadership and operational oversight in the establishment of the new organization, managed volunteer committees, and represented CFA charterholders in Canada at a National level in communications with Canadian policy makers regarding financial industry regulation, media, and financial industry stakeholders.

Change is a constant, my role as Director of Government Affairs was to manage the change driven by government and external stakeholders that impacts the CPA profession. With the information I acquire from those interactions, I made strategic recommendations on policy development and legislation affecting CPAO and its members;Successfully negotiated numerous complex issues with the Ontario Government in favour of the profession, including: Public Accounting Act, 2004; Private Investigators and Security Act, 2005; Fair Access to Regulated Professions Act, 2006; Consumer Protection and Service Modernization Act, 2006; Ontario Labour Mobility Act, 2009; Chartered Accountants Act, 2010; Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario Act, 2017.Established a grassroots parliamentary liaison group of CA members and MPPs to promote public policy dialogue on issues of mutual concern;Administered sponsorship program involving government, stakeholder and public policy events.
