Working closely within a team of up to 8 developers and data scientists - devised and then managed a package of work and projects designed to implement Agile best practices and stabilise legacy systems. Rapidly familiarised myself with a complex data led product to enable me to quickly take over a legacy project and launch successfully on time. Activities included: the implementation of tailored Agile practices using elements of SCRUM, DSDM Atern and Feature Driven Development, dependent on the needs of individual projects -- Managing the SDLC through Visual Studio Team Services -- Business Analysis with stakeholders and translation of requirements into Feature Stories and User Stories.KEY PROJECTS✪ Within 3 weeks implemented a new service help desk to significantly improve the handling of support calls to the development team, and to help identify frequently occurring issues for 'quick win' development prioritisation✪ Using the above to implement a 3 month program of development to stabilise legacy systems and reduce the support burden on the development team from an average of 40% of developer time to approximately 22%✪ Working closely within the development team to implement Agile best practices within the same 3 month period - work included - introduction of comprehensive continuous integration within Visual Studio; migration of all version control to git; rationalisation of server/cloud assets to eliminate waste; introduction of Test Driven Development; implementation of a more disciplined Agile project management approach (2 week sprints, review/retro and planning meetings, daily standups, backlog prioritisation, feature and user story breakdowns etc)✪ Successful launch of data driven project within the first 2 months of contract start✪ Initiation a legacy system re-write - incorporating business case, domain planning, class and data-flow diagramming and feature set design development to commence January 2018
