Currently working under the supervision of Associate Professor Peter Seiler on robust disturbance rejection using online convex optimization.

Co-led laboratory sections for Signals and Systems II (EE 324). All lab work was done in MATLAB and Simulink regarding the modeling and simulation of various LTI systems (electrical circuits, analog/digital filters, feedback systems, and stability analysis/margins).Took responsibility for grading prelab assignments and lab reports, explaining lab procedures and illustrating overarching concepts, and modifying lab manuals.Additional responsibilities were related to the design and testing of a higher-level course, Control System Simulation (EE 476), where feedback control systems were implemented with computer-aided techniques. The course is a lab-heavy class that students take the semester after Automatic Control Systems (EE 475).

As part of the Laboratory of Integrated Optical Systems (LIOS) under the direction of Dr. Meng Lu, I am currently working under the Ph.D. candidate, Jingjing Qian, on the design and fabrication of microfluidic devices for microDNA and microRNA detection and quantification.Dr. Meng Lu is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.

As a UH Cullen College of Engineering Summer 2020 Neurotechnologies REU participant, I have the opportunity to work under Dr. Julien Leclerc on millimeter-scale robots (swimmers) for blood clot removal using magnetic manipulation. The magnetic manipulator system invented by Dr. Leclerc is the first magnetic manipulator that is cooled by liquid nitrogen and achieves both swimmer 3D path-following and in vitro blood clot removal. Throughout the summer we will be working to create a reliable model for the swimmer robot and will verify its validity by comparing it with experimental results.This research project is within CCoE's Robotic Swarm Control Lab, supervised by Dr. Aaron Becker and through the NSF BRAIN Center at CCoE.

Supported undergraduate computer science and software, computer, and electrical engineering students in learning and applying introductory C programming concepts in SE/CPRE/EE 185. Assisted professors during lectures in leading application activities and answering questions. Co-prepared review materials and co-led exam review sessions and weekly supplementary recitation sessions. Developed and evaluated the effectiveness of Team-Based Learning (TBL) curriculum for an introductory C programming course. Co-published 3 conference papers on the TBL implementation and course delivery exploration.

Participated in a biomedical data analytics study utilizing the Parkinson's Progression Marker's Initiative (PPMI) database for Parkinson's Disease (PD) biomarker detection with Dr. Sree Nilakanta.

Supported undergraduate engineering students in learning Calculus II concepts and problem-solving skills through the Iowa State University Academic Success Center (ASC). Independently organized and delivered tutoring sessions and corresponding teaching materials.
