Shepherd and teacher of young followers of Jesus. Passionate about making disciples through nurturing spiritual maturity and communicating God’s truth. Vision to meet students where they are and reach them with the love and good news of Jesus and then teach them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. A Graduate of Geneva College, JD earned a bachelor’s degree in student ministries with concentrations in urban ministry and outdoor leadership, and he seeks to serving God wherever He leads.JD remembers meeting Jesus when he was young at Ligonier Camp and Conference Center– the counselors’ contagious joy and dedication to serving God inspired him to desire his own relationship with Jesus. As his relationship with God continued to grow, he began to feel a call to ministry during his senior year of high school. God continued to persistently lay full-time ministry on his heart while he served as a counselor at Ligonier Camp and Conference Center and later as an intern in Kenya during a three-month mission trip. He responded to God’s call by enrolling at Geneva, and he now expects to graduate in May 2019 and pursue a career in full-time ministry. A self-described “people person,” JD enjoys spending spare time with friends. He also loves to experience and enjoy God’s creation through hiking, biking, disc-golfing, and playing sports. JD is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State football, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Washington Nationals fan.JD married Kelsey in 2019 and has been so thankful for her partnership in life, ministry and the Gospel.
