Starting two weeks before the festival working on building the 20+ venues in gyms and empty classrooms, my job included hanging lights, building grids and truss structures. As the venue crew for the Pleasance theatre I am responsible for changing in and out the multiple shows in my venue. I am also responsible for running the lights for multiple shows.

Many groups come and rent Evanston Township High School’s auditorium; while I was a high school student I had the opportunity to work these rentals. I assisted with everything from load in to load out, on certain occasions I acted as the lighting designer, on others I was a sound engineer.

River Trail Nature Center

EIEIO, “Evanston Improvement and Entertainment Organization”. Founded by me and a few friends, weorganized benefit events for causes that we believed in. Our events raised over $3,000.

As an intern, I was able to work on some eye opening things. I worked on a project that investigated abetter ways to test for E. Coli in the lake. My findings did not turn up any new information, however, theyare pursuing my idea of DNA testing.
