My interest extends to developing these methods and tools in a standards-based environment and to support that interest I hold a seat on the Object Management Group Architecture Board, and am a member of INCOSE and the IEEE Computer Society. I am also interested in knowledge transfer in these areas. I was re-elected to the OMG Architecture Board in Dec. 2012 after a one year absence due to changing company affiliation and have been re-elected every two years since. The Architecture Board's mission is to maintain the overall quality of, and coherence and consistency amongst, the specifications adopted by the OMG. Members of the AB provide technical guidance and review of all Requests for Proposal, Requests for Comment, Specification submissions, and Task Force reports. In addition to the overall mission of the AB, I have been involved with the development of the Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM), OMG SysML, and the collection of best practices associated with the development of machine readable files for OMG specifications.

Software Project Engineer for the Mobile Ground Tracking Station (MGTS). Over the lifetime of this C4IS system, integrated software and hardware COTS systems for processing surveillance sensor data. Operationally, personally responsible for integrating satellite orbit command capability into the MGTS, along with multiple bit rate data processing computer systems and communications with simulated Aegis cruisers. Responsibilities included software development, mission planning, field operations supervision, PCM telemetry database creation, and data processing on the Loral 550 - Sun Sparc System. Project Manager and Lead Engineer for a FFP contract to design and build PC-based telemetry test sets for the NATO Missile Maintenance Facilities. Personally responsible for developing telemetry receiver control software, as well as project schedules and budgets. Developed and presented the five day System Operation and Maintenance training course. All work was completed on schedule and under budget. Two versions of the workstations were added to the company product line. Wrote the software section of two winning telemetry system proposals.Program Manager on a FFP contract for the development of a U.S. Navy flight line test set. I was assigned mid-project to correct schedule and budget overruns, and technical difficulties. The fully functional testers were delivered on time, with the company making a small profit.Senior systems engineer/network designer on a project to develop a U.S. Army electronics maintenance trainer. Delivered a 200 node, networked system with each node consisting of a computer workstation, a computer-controlled video disc player, and an electronics console with unit under test receiver and test equipment.
