Current- Portfolios include irregular migration, refugee resettlement, modernization and optimization of case processing technology, IN budget and treasury board submissions, engagement with foreign governments, IN stewardship and planning of case levels and processing, Senior Management overseas travel planning, internal communications on wellness and culture, Afghanistan case processing and special immigration measures, Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel immigration program- Train new employees on the standard of operating procedures for triaging IN input requests and drafting taskings; responsible for teaching the branch overview and structure- Maintain an awareness of all lines of business within IN-DGO to advise team leads of proposed course of action for input requests; practical hands-on experience making decisions in a fast-paced environment- Engage with IN Senior Management, ADM Operations, MINO, Parliamentary Affairs, and PCO on a regular basis to ensure properly approved input is submitted from IN in a timely manner - Attend intra and inter-departmental meetings regarding changes within business procedures, updates on IN processing targets, and Senior Management travel planning on behalf of the DG; take note of any outstanding items or new action items- Review all material drafted by IN teams (bullets, speaking points, background material, presentations, memoranda, etc.); exercise judgement skills on completeness of responses and provide feedback if necessary
