I am an experienced senior level people leader with special emphasis on operations and strategic planning. My most recent positions centered on ensuring KPI & OKR performance were in alignment with the business line strategic goals. Additionally, I conduct routine needs assessments to advise C-suite leaders on proper resource allocation. In the past, I served the Department of Energy as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (GS-15) assigned to the National Energy Technology Laboratory. I was responsible for the laboratory support operations functions for a 3-campus national laboratory with major research & development operations in Oregon, Pennsylvania, & West Virginia and a total fossil energy research & development budget in excess of $800M. The laboratory encompassed 242 acres with 109 buildings and over 1500 employees. The primary mission of the laboratory is the discovery, development, and deployment of technology solutions to enhance the nation’s energy foundation and protect the environment for future generations.I am also a former Army Officer earning the rank of Captain (O-3) with combat service in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, I have held numerous command and staff positions in that time. My professional military education includes completion of the Armor Officer Basic Course and Adjutant General Captains Career Course (formerly Army Officer Advanced Course).
