I always enjoyed working at Absalon Hotel and coming back was no different this time around.To provide and exceed customer satisfaction has always been part of my DNA and joy. Understanding different needs and accommodating accordingly, just comes natural to me.It is no simple task and I think it requires experience to shift balance. In that sense I worked on SOP's to provide and maintain high service standards gained through best practices to boost experience. SOP's are good when learning new procedures but I think it can also limit ones ability when working with people.But I do like SOP's and they certainly have merit.

As part of my AP Graduate in Logistic Management I was fortunate to work on the supply chain for an important customer. It involved a product that was difficult to forecast due to short time orders from the customer and a rather complex production line involving 3 third parties. The challenge was to reduce production lead time, get rid of delays, while maintaining a high quality.After meeting with the third parties and understanding their challenges and work flow I began work on the history of orders which was controlled through Excel. I removed all the noise and started analyzing which resulted in a good overview of typical and rare products ordered from the customer. This birthed the possibility to brake up the production line into more stages, so typical orders could be produced to stock either as finished goods or as processed goods with a shorter production lead time. Stock can be a heavy burden on companies, so balancing push/pull principles is important.

I managed all aspects in this start-up from the business plan, partnership relations, import/export, inventory, warehouse, costs & pricing, launch party, cold calling, trade shows, trunk shows, webshop ETC.This startup was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the responsibilities and actions required and I learned many things in the process with many successful stages. Unfortunately friends, Octopus Handbags are no longer available in the US.
