Being the office manager of our accounting/tax firm has made my job description complex because I am the only administrative staff & a jack of all trades. I handle the day to day business operations as well as client projects for the firm. Some of my responsibilities are general administrative assignments, word processing, vendor negotiations, processing the firm's payroll, accounts receivable & payable & maintaining the Quickbooks file. I also assist with the firm's technology & computer programs. Client servicing is a major component with assembling & filing tax returns, working on financial statements, & offering bookkeeping/payroll services to our clients. I helped develop & help maintain the company's social media presence through LinkedIn, our company website & Constant Contact. I am also responsible for various human resource items. (i.e. the company handbook, hiring, 401(k) & HSA entries, & upkeeping employee benefit programs). One of my favorite tasks is coordinating office outings & volunteer events.I have been working with the partners of O'Malley & Kwit for over 18 years. I take pride in making sure our clients always come first & that everything in office runs smoothly. Since I have been in this position for so many years we have seen many changes in the accounting & technology fields & O'Malley & Kwit has adapted quickly to these changes. We have always made sure the firm & our clients are currently up to date with any modifications.When I am not commuting into Chicago for work I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter & son in the Northwest Suburbs. We have fun being silly with each other, playing games, being outside & going on adventures. I'm lucky enough to have a husband who loves to cook & is a fabulous at it! We take advantage when we can to have our time away from the kids by going to concerts, hanging out with friends, & trying new restaurants. Enjoying life is our motto!
