Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain economic models as well as the economic project premises across several Chemicals growth opportunities• Provide meaningful insights through quantitative and qualitative analysis of project value drivers with which to support & challenge decision makers• Build relationships with external stakeholders and develop and run open book economics• Collaborate across a range of functions within Shell including Technical, Upstream, Integrated Gas, Finance and Tax• Provide robust, assured economic input for investment proposals, mandate documents and assurance reviews• Undertake economic peer / assurance reviews for Chemicals projects• Support and provide guidance for other economists across Shell Chemicals and Shell Downstream, and share ‘best practice’ learnings

Responsibilities:• Delivery of timely and accurate trade book to financials reconciliations under very tight deadlines at both month end and quarter end.• Investigate numerous reports, financial reconciliations and internal systems to identify crude and oil products stock levels, align trading books and make necessary adjustments.• Provide period end analytics on variances year on year and between quarters• New business contact within the Finance Services team providing support and insight to the business on new projects/deals while also overseeing any required changes to current finance processes in finance service centres• Provide training for new starters and offer support and guidance for other team membersAchievements:• Development of a new inventory valuation tool for Shell Trading• Member of the team which developed and implemented the month end close process at Shell Trading
