Throughout my professional life my interest has focused on two main fields, the biological science and military service. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to pursue and develop both passions throughout my career. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology at Susquehanna University during which I completed a senior research capstone in neuroscience working with learning and conditioning at the cellular level. While pursuing my degree I participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps program and in 2013 I was awarded a commissioned as a US Army Officer.I began my career in the biological sciences with Agilent Technologies Inc. as a bid response specialist. I was responsible for the time sensitive submission of competitive bid packages for Federal and State customers. In this role I honed my skills in time management, attention to detail, and project management while developing a plethora of new skills in the administrative and business side of the scientific industry. In 2016 I enrolled in Bloomsburg University to pursue my Masters Degree in Biology. For my Thesis research I examined how neurotoxin exposure could impact memory, cognition, and behavior while also serving as a Graduate Assistant for the University. In 2017 I deployed with the Army for a 9 month tour in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where I served as the Brigade Engineer. In this role I led a team of Army Engineers and was directly responsible for the day to day maintenance and long term construction planning of the detention facility.Following my return I completed my Thesis and graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in the Biology. I was selected as the Company Commander of the 812th Military Police Company and granted the rank of Captain. I am now seeking employment in the field of biological scientific research. It has been an interesting journey thus far and I am excited to see where the next step will take me.
