I led a team of 10 engineers in developing a 3D space action adventure game, overseeing both prototype and production phases. Our work began with managing Unity prototype development before transitioning to 18 months of production work using Unreal Engine 4. Throughout the project, I directed software architecture and technical design while implementing effective project management strategies. I regularly conducted code reviews, debugged complex issues, and implemented performance optimizations. Additionally, I conducted interviews and made key hiring decisions to build and expand our engineering team, cultivating a talented and cohesive group of professionals.

I built a reactive SEO optimized web application, metallicmonsters.com, that included 10,000 product pages, a dynamic image generation system, custom product rendering system, and real-time administration tools. I developed Metallicmonsters.com using a .Net Core MVC and Microsoft SignalR front end, a MS SQL backend in an AWS VPC I built.I developed a custom additive manufacturing business under the brand Metallic Monsters. We use state of the art 3D printing processes combined with traditional jewelry manufacture techniques create a huge selection of the finest metal miniatures available. I also developed a 3D print to bronze process capable of reproducing nearly any 3D object less than 120mm in metal within two weeks.

As employee number one, I helped grow this fintech startup to 60 employees and $120 million loan portfolio. I primarily did principal software engineering as well as managed a team of software engineers and data scientists using various .NET technologies, MS SQL, and React.js in hosted in an AWS VPC I built.My areas of responsibility also included software engineering management, product and program management, data science, technical operations, corporate security, and basic information technology.Among many tools I created here, I developed the tools that were used to model projected financial performance of all of Lighter Capital’s loans done during its first eight years. These tools used several different regression models to accurately forecast applicant’s revenue over the course of the loan.

I wrote C++ code to implement auction item similarity using a combination of text and machine vision features. I worked closely with PhD level mathematicians to produce image segmentation models that were paired with information retrieval techniques to create similar item results from unstructured data.

I was the first employee at this machine learning hedge fund. I developed a system at Positronic Inc. to daily read every major public news source and financial blog in the United States and Europe, parsed that information, identified relevant references to publicly traded entities, and applied a custom sentiment algorithm to determine degree of positive or negative sentiment about the entities. Positronic was sold to eBay in December '08.

I was employee number two at this web 2.0 product and service review startup.I built a successful product and service review website with just one other engineer during the company’s first two years.

I lead development teams for MSN Shopping; now Bing shopping. I was one of three original engineers on the team. When I left, MSN Shopping was a $100M business with more then a 10 million annually users. As well as general web development, I did large scale system architecture and machine learned categorization of data.Technologies: C#, .Net, MS SQL, ASP.NET, Javascript, HTML, CSS

I did PHP web development and was one of two engineers who built the entire product in eight months.Compare.net was sold to Microsoft in April '99.

Document Management Software. Wrote Java applets to do document managment systems over the internet.

Enterprise Reporting. OLAP and other data warehousing techniques. I helped implement the ‘Safeway Club Card’ reporting system, one of the largest private data warehouses globally at the time.
