I have worked in Outdoor Education my entire adult life. I have 20 years of diverse experience in the organized camping field and am eager to continue my career in a mission driven organization. Through my involvement in Girl Scouts, I have implemented the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the National Program portfolio into all of our camp programming. I have led Journey themes at Camp Kaufmann, participated in Badge days and effectively used the 15 Leadership Outcomes to evaluate our program offerings. As the Manager of Camp Programs, I have vast experience in program design, donor cultivation, recruitment of campers, training development, supervision of volunteers and paid staff. I oversaw all aspects of the program including the waterfront, challenge course, archery, ordering equipment and supplies, and curriculum writing. Camp Kaufmann runs year round. Under my five year leadership, we have gone from serving 2,500 campers per year, to over 5,000. 80% of campers return to Camp Kaufmann for a further experience. I have introduced an array of new activities and expanded camping opportunities, including the development ofa two-week residential camp program. I have cultivated both staff and volunteers. We have a returning staff rate of 70% and a group of core volunteers who came to work at camp on weekends. Along with the Director of Programs, I managed a budget of $350,000, and I was responsible for the Children's License, Department of Health approval and ACA accreditation. I am a trained Archery Instructor, an ACA visitor and member, a facilitator for Team Leadership and Low Ropes Challenge Course
