I took the lead in a research project titled "Individual recognition and distribution survey using photo-identification of the Short-beaked Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis) in the Eastern Aegean Sea between 2015 to 2019." Throughout the project, I actively participated in boat-based surveys aimed at monitoring resident cetacean populations, including D. delphis, Tursiops truncatus, and Stenella coeruleoalba. During these surveys, I collected valuable data on the abundance, distribution, and behavioral patterns of these species. Additionally, I was responsible for managing and analyzing the environmental data gathered during the surveys. To prepare comprehensive survey reports and create distribution abundance maps specifically for D. delphis, I utilized QGIS.Additionally:• I conducted mapping activities to assess the extent, health, and density of seagrass habitat around the island of Lipsi • In collaboration with a team, I assisted in kayak and snorkel-based surveys aimed at evaluating anthropogenic and environmental noise levels

Actively participated in a comprehensive, long-term monitoring study that aimed to analyze the timing and extent of sea urchin recruitment, with a specific focus on the settlement of larval organisms in scrub brushes across Monterey Bay. The primary objective of this investigation was to assess how sea urchin recruitment dynamics contribute to the stability of kelp forests.Here are some key contributions: As part of my role, I conducted meticulous sample sorting of the scrub brush contents collected from various locations within Monterey Bay. This involved carefully examining and categorizing the different species present in the samples, including various urchin species, crabs, gastropods, bivalves, and even plastics. I diligently recorded and documented the abundance of each species found within the collected samples, ensuring accurate data collection for further analysis.

Actively participated in a study to understand the role of sea urchins in maintaining ecosystem stability by studying sea urchin patch dynamics. As a lab volunteer, I carefully opened and filtered sea urchin gut samples through a sieve, followed by examining and recording the contents in a database. Using a DSLR camera, photographs were later analyzed using an algae software identifier developed by Dr. Joshua Smith.
