    • Responsible for updating voter contact information, registration and getting out the vote operations in Brooklyn, Pennsylvania and North Carolina• Recruited, trained and supervised volunteers to encourage wider participation in the campaign. • Managed over 150 volunteers at one time, canvassing over 20,000 houses in one weekend.• Achieved 67% for the Democratic Party in Charlotte, North Carolina, over performing 2012 by 7 points when the national trend was for under performance.• Used VAN vote builder and the latest organising apps to mobilise volunteers for the campaign.

    Head of Mobilisation, Save the Children, May 2012 - Present Grew the campaigning function in the organisation: increasing impact, head count, agenda space, status and defined the role of campaigns within the organisation to win more policy changes for children including $4.1bn for nutrition interventions to prevent the malnutrition of children 1.3 million children. Established new campaigning propositions, journeys and processes enabling the organisation to harness opportunities to generate change and fulfil strategic objectives. Recruited 50,000 supporters in a year. Increased the staff campaigning capacity by 24 people, as a result of unlocking resources in other teams. Shared supporter objectives across divisions were also implemented.  Increaseed mobilisation capacity across the movement through a programme of training, resources and the sharing of best practice. Controlled a budget of £670,000 Encouraged the Conservative Party and the Chancellor to maintain the commitment of spending 0.7% of GNI on international development during a period of recession. Campaigns Designed and delivered the #RestarttheRescue campaign, that resulting in the deployment of HMS Bulwark that has rescued 2,000 migrants in the Med and reversed the position of the Conservative party. Worked in partnership to develop the Post 2015 and 5 year Country Strategy for South Africa and build capacity to deliver this. Lead the integration of propositions across the organisation including fundraising, volunteer and brand offers. Delivered strategic campaigns and communications support members including Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Africa. Supported and facilitated the development of the international campaign strategy for the movement.

Brought in over £60,000 from corporate relationships to support and show case the work that we do.  Established communications plans and processes to ensure that key messages are received by the right audiences more effectively and efficiently. Audited communications and campaign channels across the organisation to ensure that we are using the most appropriate tools for the required ask. Turned an underperforming team of five into a highly motivated team of ten that meet key performance indicators.  Set the direction for the organisation as part of the Senior Leadership Team, attending board meetings and key stakeholder events across the UK.
