- Manage all Institutional Review Board (IRB) matters including internal projects and external projects with consortium partners to assure human subject protection- Develop proposal objectives for grants/cooperative agreements to fund programs as well as interim and annual reports to funding agency- Manage the program database “Construction Solutions” (www.cpwrconstructionsolutions.org), a website that disseminates environmental and occupational health and safety information in the construction industry- Collaborate with IT personnel to develop database interfaces as well as improve user experience (e.g. wrote functional specifications to develop a Safety Management Information System that assess safety climate for continuous improvement)- Manage responsibilities and deadlines on assignments with different research universities and subcontractors across the country- Interview construction workers to understand task challenges from workers' perspectives and develop a repository of findings and solutions- Conduct outreach and give health and safety presentations at national and international levels for various organizations (i.e., AIHA, OH&S, NASA)- Communicate with outside stakeholders, researchers, and contractors

- Sample indoor air quality (with AQ-5000) and analyze air change over rates- Inspect fume hoods for certification and user safety practices- Send asbestos samples to laboratories and analyze the returned results- Conduct qualitative and quantitative fit tests with air purifying respirators- Conduct mold investigations and applied de-humidifiers to structures- Send industrial hygiene instruments to maintenance facilities for calibration- Perform chemical exposure assessments (with Dräger and MIRAN SapphIRe)- Collect particulate samples and send it to laboratories for particulate ID- Operate noise dosimeters to conduct noise measurements with USC employees

- Attend job site visits and document potential occupational hazards of workers while performing “green” construction/retrofitting projects and LEED retrofit projects- Interview workers and generate surveys about their job working conditions with respect to traditional techniques versus “green” techniques- Presented project findings to a panel of NIOSH occupational health experts in Washington D.C. via a national videoconference broadcasted from UCLA- Present project findings to the 2009 American Public Health Association
