After 10 years of working and nearing my late 20s, I wasn't happy. I was pretty miserable, actually. I knew what I had been doing wasn't aligned with my eco-conscious value system. I knew what I was doing wasn't making me happy or satisfied. I knew I would live with a life-time of regret if I didn't re-gain control of my life. I knew I had to hit the reset button. So in the fall of 2019 I had asked myself, "what can I do to feel purposeful - to feel fulfilled?" Terrifyingly, I quit my job and went back to school. It was probably the best decision I could've made. 2 years and a masters degree later, I've discovered that transitioning the world to clean and renewable energy (as massive as this undertaking is going to be) is what I need to be apart of to feel purposeful, to feel fulfilled. Is the world going to evolve and transition fast enough to reverse the effects of climate change? It's hard to tell. Will I still do everything in my power to support the transition? Absolutely, because I'm a proud energy professional and sustainability nerd! Anyways, thanks for taking the time to get to know me a bit on LinkedIn. :)
