For 5 weeks, from 20th February until 23rd March 2012, I participated in some work experience at Warbreck House, who deal with Disability Living Allowance. My role was to help out with administrative duties such as linking claim packs and paperwork with files, to sort out post, to organise and alphabetise files in storage and to help with other similar tasks when required.

Christmas Temp position. Attended shop floor merchandising and helped customers.

Welcomed, assisted and gave advice to customers; offered customers samples from a tasting tray; operated the till; assisted in restocking the shop floor and keeping it clean and tidy.

Was responsible for the stationery department, keeping the shop floor tidy, restocking, assisting in price changes, stock counts and general merchandising; till work; organising and processing deliveries.

Whilst at Lancaster University, and to some extent subsequently after my studies, I have been involved in filmmaking both as part of my course (I produced a short documentary film), and also recreationally in a filming group, formerly called LuTube TV, now known as LA1:TV. I have been heavily involved in this television society, taking the role of project manager in the first two terms of my final year, leading, organising and working with a team to produce two student news programs (titled… Show more Whilst at Lancaster University, and to some extent subsequently after my studies, I have been involved in filmmaking both as part of my course (I produced a short documentary film), and also recreationally in a filming group, formerly called LuTube TV, now known as LA1:TV. I have been heavily involved in this television society, taking the role of project manager in the first two terms of my final year, leading, organising and working with a team to produce two student news programs (titled Scan TV) and a 40 minute long news-entertainment program (titled The LA1 Show). I have also helped to organise and film many live events, including the university’s musical proms event, live coverage of the student union elections and a small music festival as part of the university’s end-of-year celebrations. Further, I have helped to film and edit a multi-purpose video for charity Victim Support, which shall be used by the charity across the Fylde and possibly even nationwide for the purpose of training their volunteers. The project included the honour of meeting and filming an interview with His Honour Judge Russell QC, and filming a mock court case in Preston Crown Court. Show less
