The test harnesses are written customer specific, with designs being based on specifications from customer requirement documentation. Using the software specification I identify and create test-cases to exploit all aspects of the device. I have been involved in the continued development and improvement of test equipment including the test ‘jig’ used to test our parts. Testing involves not only writing software in LabView, but also wiring and probing the parts to record responses. National Instruments technology is used simulate real life conditions on the part, while Data acquisition devices and an oscilloscope are then used for capturing and recording responses. Testing is carried out under pressure as well as hot and cold temperatures. As parts are developed with increasing specification and abilities more complex solutions are required in order to effectively test the part. I have complete Core 1,2 and Core 3 LabView training.
