• Serve as an outlet for Families with concerns and confusions regarding special education processes.• Provided outreach to families to inform them of special education safeguards and procedural rights via direct mail, email blasts, workshops, special events, resource guides. Utilized a results based accountability to measure effectiveness of outreach initiatives. • Created an interoffice intranet for teachers, related services, specialized teams, diagnosticians and transportation to help guide and maintain student referrals.• Provided over 100+ hours of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training to educators, counselors, administrative staff and to teachers contracted outside of the US.• Served as sole Spanish/English translator for special education meetings, ensuring accurate and full participation for monolingual Spanish speaking families.• Disseminated testing accommodation information to schools to ensure students received appropriate and correct testing accommodations as per their needs.
