BuildNet was a developer of software systems for homebuilders, designed to support accounting, project management, change orders, and scheduling as an integrated business process. This company grew in the late 1990’s into the largest company of its kind in the country, with BuildNet customers responsible for nearly 30% of the housing starts in the country. BuildNet grew from ten employees to over 350 in the Research Triangle Park of Durham, NC, expanding later through acquisitions of complimentary software companies to total nearly 1000 employees in locations across the country. Served in roles from Product Design to Chief Technical Officer, and was instrumental to the design and implementation of BuildNet’s ecommerce strategy. During the expansion, worked across “company” lines, integrating technology, staff, and cultures of the acquired companies to converge on a common vision and mission.
